Preparation Makes Perfect | Print |

Preparation of a business for sale is critical and we often work with clients long before the business hits the market.  We are determined to sell every business we list for sale and with a target of perfection, our preparation needs to be intensive. 

Essentially, it involves two stages.  Firstly a comprehensive Assessment of the business outlining the most likely selling price and optimium exit strategy, and then after the business is listed for sale we conduct a detailed Preparation of the business profile, financials and supporting documentation.  Here's what one of our clients had to say about the level of service we provide prior to marketing their business for sale in 2008:

Like most businesses, towards the end of 2008 we have seen some reduction in activity amongst business buyers, but that hasn't prevented quality businesses from being sold.  In mid September 2008 we were approached by the owner of a Registered Training Organisation based on the Gold Coast to look at selling their business.  In record time, the business was assessed, prepared, marketed and negotiated resulting in secure contract by the 10th October, less than 30 days later.  Having now completed, here's what the parties had to say:
